Print your Free “Roll and Cover” Printables! “Roll and cover” number worksheets are fantastic for engaging young learners in practicing number recognition and counting. You’ll need a pair of dice to roll your numbers. Plan how you will cover the number before the activity begins. You can simply fill in each circle with a crayon or Dot Dot markers, or you can use pom poms or buttons to cover each number. Get ready to learn those numbers!

Simple Numbers 1-6
These first two printable sheets only have numbers 1-6. These are great for practicing number identification, plus having fun rolling a die. Roll one die, count the dots, and find the corresponding number on each sheet. This is a great printable to do in a small group. You can all count together!

Roll and Cover Dice Printables!
- Have the child roll the dice.
- Ask them to identify the number shown on the dice.
- Then, encourage them to find the corresponding number on the worksheet and cover or mark it. Use Dot Dot markers, pom poms, stickers, or craft nuudles to cover the number.
- Throughout the activity, engage in conversation about the numbers. What number did you roll?” Can you find that number on the worksheet? How many more numbers do you need to cover to finish a row?
This activity not only reinforces number recognition but also promotes social interaction, basic math skills, and critical thinking as they strategize which numbers to cover based on the rolled dice. Remember, you don’t need to do any math, you can get a 12-sided die and simply roll and cover!

Dice Math Worksheets
The last two worksheets come in a different format. Don’t forget your 12-sided die! Do math if your little ones are advanced, but if you are working solely with pre-k grab yourself a fun 12-sided die.

Hi Tiffany, I’m sorry about that! I just updated the post and you should be able to download now!
I hope it’s ok to ask here but can you please guide me to the direct link to download “Let’s count apples” as it appears under Numbers on this page https://thehollydogblog.com/printable-preschool-worksheets/
Hi Tiffany, thanks for asking. I need to work on my organization a bit, but for now, type “Apple Worksheets” into the search bar, and you should see the worksheet!
