Free Bear Craft for Preschool!
Materials Needed: brown tissue paper, cardstock paper, paper plate, glue stick, scissors, markers, free bear cutouts
Step 1: Print our your free bear craft cutouts onto cardstock paper. Next, paste your brown tissue paper squares onto the paper plate. This is a great way to get the bear’s fur texture! Other ways to cover the paper plate include watercolors, markers, fork painting, or sponge painting. Do whever is best for your little ones.

Step 2: Next, use your scissors to cut out your bear craft pieces. Then, use your markers to color in the bear’s ears, eyes, and nose! Be sure to check out a fun squirrel craft and owl craft for more fun activities with woodland creatures.

Step 3: Use your glue stick to paste the cutouts to the paper plate. Add any finishing touches you like. I added two pink Dot Dot cheeks and I added a touch of glitter! If you love bears, make our wintery polar bear craft next!

The Best Bear Books for Preschool
Take a look at some great bear books to pair with your bear craft! Read The Bear Ate Your Sandwich, Amy the Dancing Bear, and Bear Wants More. My personal favorite is Amy the Dancing Bear. I had my mom read it to me every single night! Reading with your little ones is a great way to build a special bond and boost vocabulary skills.
Bear Movement Game for Preschoolers
It’s time to move like a bear! After making your bear craft, clear a little space and call out one of the bear actions below. Little learners can act out each movement before freezing like a sleepy bear! This works great as a transition activity, turn on some music!
Bear Stomp – Stomp around the room with big, heavy steps.
Honey Hunt – Crawl on your hands and knees while searching for pretend honey.
Climb a Tree – Reach up high and pretend to climb to the very top of a tall tree.
Bear Nap – Curl up into a tiny ball and pretend to snore for five seconds.
Wake Up, Bear! – Stretch your arms, yawn, and give one big bear roar before marching around the room again!
