Fun Winter Hat Craft!

Materials Needed: white oil pastel, watercolors, stickers, paint pens, cardstock paper, free winter hat template

Step 1: Gather your winter hat craft supplies! Print your winter hat onto cardstock paper. I printed mine onto white paper to use oil pastels and then printed some additional hats onto colored cardstock paper. First, grab your white oil pastel and make a design non your hat!

Step 2: Next, break out the watercolors! Paint with watercolors over the white oil pastel! See how your design comes to life!

Step 3: Have fun with whatever extra materials you have! I used stickers (great for building pincher strength), glitter, and gem stones. You can also use cotton balls to make a puff on top of your hat.

When you’re finished decorating, be sure to hang your winter hat somewhere that needs a bit of winter cheer! To work on scissor skills, you can have your little ones cut out their hats, then hang them on a classroom bulletin board!
