Baby Jesus Paper Plate Craft
Materials Needed: paper plate, free cutouts, cardstock paper, brown paint, scissors, glue stick, markers, glitter
Step 1: Gather your supplies! Be sure to print your cutouts onto cardstock paper. Next, fold your paper plate in half and cut out the center. Fill the paper plate in brown. I decided to sponge paint with brown paint. You can use markers or watercolors too!

Step 2: Next, cut out your three craft pieces. Cut on the dotted lines. Use markers or crayons to color in Baby Jesus and the star! Pair this Baby Jesus craft with our Christmas Coloring Pages for Preschool, Prayer Printables, Christmas Activities for Preschool, and Bible Printables for Preschool.

Step 3: I love the way we can label each little ones’ craft! Fill in the blank with your little one’s name! Then, use a glue stick to paste each piece to the paper plate. Keep your creativity flowing with a Shield of Faith Craft and a colorful Noah’s Ark Craft for Kids!

Step 4: I added a touch of glitter for extra fun! A cool way to display your craft is to do a quick hole punch at the top of the star and thread a piece of twine through hole. Hang your craft somewhere to remind your friends and family how Jesus brings us peace and joy!

Sunday School Tips: How to Teach the Nativity Story in 2 Quick Minutes
On the very first Christmas night, God sent a bright star into the sky. It shined higher and brighter than any other star. This special star was God’s way of saying, “Something wonderful is happening!”
Down below, in a quiet little stable, Baby Jesus was born. He wasn’t born in a big palace or a fancy place—He was born in a cozy manger, wrapped in soft cloths. Jesus came to bring hope, love, and light to the whole world, even to the littlest of hearts.
When people saw the bright star, they followed it all the way to the stable. And there they found Baby Jesus, God’s Son, asleep in the manger. Everyone who came knew this was a very special baby—one who would grow up to teach us kindness, love, forgiveness, and peace.
