Star Spangled 4th of July Craft for Preschool!

    Have fun with this Star Spangled 4th of July Craft for Preschool! I was inspired after updating the cutting worksheet pack to make a fun craft that was great for building scissor skills. This craft comes with 4th of July cutouts that have dashed lines for cutting guidance. Not only is this craft great for building fine motor skills, but you will have your own 4th of July wreath to hang outside!

    4th of July Craft for Preschool

    Materials Needed: paper plate, cardstock paper, markers, crayons, glue stick, scissors, and red, white, & blue streamers

    Step 1: Print your free 4th of July cutouts onto cardstock paper. Next, use markers or crayons to color in your sheet! You can print the cutouts in black and white, or in color. Make this craft as easy as you like. Keep it simple with markers and crayons, or have fun sponge painting, fork painting, using pom poms, and more!

    Step 2: Cut out your 4th of July pieces by following the dotted lines. Then, take your paper plate, fold it in half, and cut out the center to make your wreath.

    Step 3: Fill in your wreath however you like. I decided to sponge paint mine blue. You can also us watercolors, markers, try fork painting, or stick with crayons. Next, glue your cutouts to the wreath!

    Step 4: This is the fun part! Grab some red, white, and blue streamers, and glue them to the back of your paper plate! These will flutter in the wind when you hang up your wreath!

    Step 5: Glitter the wreath!! Add some sparkle to your 4th of July wreath. A popsicle is a great treat to have on the 4th of July! Check out the Popsicle Craft to keep the fun going!

    Happy 4th of July!

    Hang your wreath somewhere that will bring your party some sparkle! My dog loved the streamers! Remember that this craft is all about individuality and building fine motor skills. Enjoy the process and don’t be afraid to explore new materials!
