The Letter Y Craft for Preschool
This Letter Y Craft for Preschool is chocked full of learning and fun! Print your activity onto cardstock paper. The background of the letter Y template has tons of yo-yo’s! Take a moment to talk about the yo-yo’s, then talk about the color of the Y, yellow! Use markers and crayons to color in the images on page 2. Color in the yak, yogurt, yolk, and yarn.


Inside the letter Y contains four shapes: circle, square, triangle, and rectangle. Have your little ones cut out the shapes on page two and match each picture to its same shape. Y is for Yak Craft
Materials Needed: cardstock paper, paper plate, scissors, glue, watercolors
Check out this awesome Y is for Yak Craft for Preschool! First, print your yak craft cutouts onto cardstock paper. Print your cutouts in color or in black & white. I thought watercolors worked great for filling in my paper plate. You can also sponge paint, fork paint, use markers, or use crayons.
Cut out your craft pieces and glue them to the paper plate. I gave my yak pink cheeks with a pink Dot Dot marker. Be sure to give your yak a name and hang your fun craft somewhere that needs a bit of extra cheer!




Letter Y Activities for Pre-K
Use a Dot Dot marker to dot your letter Y. Engage with a touch of social emotional learning by talking about the phrase ”yes to learning”. What does it feel like to learn something new? It is scary to try a new thing or go to a new place? Another way to use this sheet is to have your little ones place one fruit loop onto each gray dot.
