Would You Rather…?

Print out the large words, “Would you rather…?” and the images onto cardstock paper. Cut out your images, then laminate your words and images to keep them lasting all year. When it comes to organizing the pieces, put the sentence at the top and the two choices below it. Have each child place their name beneath their favorite image in one of the two columns. Make sure each child has their own name card. You can create a name card as a separate activity! Use magnets or Velcro strips for the name cards.

Question of the Day for Preschool

Having a question of the day will develop your little one’s ability to track words in a sentence, use language like “more than” and “less than”, and see individual preferences as well as the group at large. Seeing their name on the board will build name recognition. You can also set up your question of the day on the chalkboard with magnets and create an attendance system. Read the question to the class once everyone is seated and help your little ones place their name on the board. Any leftover name tags? They must be absent!
