First, have fun with a Recycle Sorting Worksheet. Cut out the images at the bottom of the page and paste each piece of cardboard, plastic, or glass into its matching column. Next, break out the blue and green crayons for the Earth Day Coloring Page. Finally, search for 10 plastic jugs in the Earth Day Eye Spy Worksheet. To build pinchers strength, use small stickers. Peel and stick one sticker onto each plastic jug. Be sure to explain how picking up trash and recycling plastic bottles keeps our environment clean and keeps animals safe.

There are so many ways to celebrate Earth Day and get in touch with Mother Nature. Check out some great activities that will get us thinking about the importance of our planet.

Check out this amazing Earth Day Paper Plate Painting Craft! The coolest thing about this craft is there’s no mess! Squeeze big dots of blue and green paint onto a paper plate. Put the plate into a large plastic bag and seal it shut. Have your little ones pat the bag with their hands. As the blue and green paint smears, you will have a beautiful Earth!

I LOVE a good Earth Day snack, and your little ones will surely be excited for this one. Earth Day Dirt Cups will be a huge hit in your classroom. Gummy worms, crushed Oreos, milk, and instant chocolate pudding will give you a fantastic pile of Earth!
