Preschool Dinosaur Mask Craft
Break out the crayons and markers for this super fun dinosaur mask craft! Download the FREE cutouts below and get creating! A great alternative to the elastic string, is to put googly eyes over the circles and then put the mask on a letter strip! If wearing a mask causes too much chaos (which I know it can for the littlest ones), then simply attach the dino face to the letter strip and wrap around the head like a crown! This is a great option if you are working with ages 2-3 who may be too young for masks. This is by far my favorite of the preschool dinosaur crafts!

Step 1: Print out your FREE cutouts! Have scissors and a hole punch handy. If you are working with ages 2-3, you can always put googly eyes over the circles, and attach the dino face to a letter strip to wear as a crown!

Step 2: My favorite thing about this craft is the dino toe nails! I cut out triangles of felt to be glued down. This is a great chance to talk about shapes! When it comes to decorating, use whatever you want! You can stick with the basics, or get creative and use tissue paper, buttons, water colors, etc.

Step 3: Use short elastics to look through the feet, 6 inch, and a longer 13 inch for the mask! See HERE!
Step 4: Test out your new dino-gear! What sounds do dinosaurs make? What food do they eat?

Preschool Dinosaur Picture Book
An awesome read to complete this Dinosaur Discovery Preschool Lesson Plan is, “Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug”. This book is great for talking about colors, dinosaur shapes, and perseverance! Each dinosaur in the book is a distinct color, so this book is perfect for color learning and repetition. The simple sentences are great for ages 2-5. Tiny’s friend is feeling sad and needs a hug, since Tiny has small arms, he decides to go and seek advice on how he can hug his pointy dinosaur friend. After lots of perseverance, Tiny prevails! Be sure to check out this book for circle time!
