Cat Craft for Kids!
Step 1: First, gather your materials! The cool thing about this kitty cat craft is that it can be as easy or as full of embellishments as you like! Make the craft your own with poms poms, pipe cleaners, Dot Dots, and anything else you have in your craft drawer. Print out your cat craft pieces (colored or black & white) onto cardstock paper. Use scissors to cut them out. Then, use a glue stick to paste each piece to the paper plate.
Step 2: Once you have all of your pieces glued to the paper plate, add your embellishments! I decided to give my cat some silver whiskers made out of pipe cleaners. You can give your cat a pink pom pom nose, give him Dot Dot cheeks, or paint him black with watercolors. Let the creativity flow!
Step 3: Hang your paper plate cat craft somewhere that needs a bit of kitty cat cheer! Use this cat craft as a jumping off point for talking about cats! What do cats feel like? What do cats sound like? Are cats black, white, or gray…?
